Charvette scratchplate

I was asked to add a scratchplate to a Charvette, this is how it was done

first the truss rod cover was made to match the scratchplate, then the scratchplate was mocked up using card and sticky tape to get everything in the right place. Next I made a template to work to and roughly cut out the scratchplate material. Then the template was attached to the plate and the 45 degree chamfer cut with a router.

then various patterns were made to cut out the holes for pickups etc. and they were again cut out with the router.

the finished guitar

following this I made a scratchplate for one of my own guitars
